Storytelling in the Home Workshop w/Storyteller Diane Edgecomb
March 18 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Turn off the television! Turn off the computer! For a short while each day, share quality time with your children. Tell them a story.
In this workshop, parents and children will explore several fun ways that storytelling can enrich their lives and the lives of those around them.
Using a combination of demonstration and exercises that require active participation, Diane leads the group through:
- Spontaneous storytelling and storytelling games that can be played by the whole family.
- Creating adaptations: Learning how to tell a favorite fairy tale in your own words.
- Working with personal and family stories: How to discover them? How can we enhance them? Finding a time and place to share them.
