Storytelling in the Home Workshop w/Storyteller Diane Edgecomb

March 18 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Turn off the television! Turn off the computer!  For a short while each day, share quality time with your children.  Tell them a story.

In this workshop, parents and children will explore several fun ways that storytelling can enrich their lives and the lives of those around them.

Using a combination of demonstration and exercises that require active participation, Diane leads the group through:

  • Spontaneous storytelling and storytelling games that can be played by the whole family.
  • Creating adaptations: Learning how to tell a favorite fairy tale in your own words.
  • Working with personal and family stories: How to discover them? How can we enhance them? Finding a time and place to share them.

About Diane Edgecomb

Her innovative approaches to teaching the storytelling art have been an inspiration to new tellers and seasoned professionals alike. Diane will perform for Muddy Brook Elementary students earlier on March 18. Bring the storytelling home by participating in this family workshop.
