How “Scrip” Gift Cards Can Help Muddy Brook

Through our “Scrip” Gift Card program, families can purchase gift cards to be used just like cash to purchase everyday items such as groceries, gas, clothing and gifts at local (e.g., Guidos and Big Y) and national and online retailers (e.g., Amazon, Target, Home Depot). The PTA purchases the gift cards for these businesses at a discount and the difference goes directly to the PTA. For example, you give the PTA $100 for a Guido’s Gift Card. The PTA in return gives you a $100 Guido’s Gift Card that we have purchased for $90. You use the gift card like you would cash at Guido’s, but the PTA has made money in the transaction.

This is a great way for the PTA to raise money on everyday purchases and could result in a consistent stream of income for the PTA if families get into the habit of ordering gift cards on a regular basis to make their grocery, gas, and other everyday and specialty purchases. We’re not asking you to purchase anything that you wouldn’t already!

What’s Available and How Do I Get It?

Gift Cards

With over 500 retailers in 23 categories, there is a Gift Card for everyone! And ordering a “Scrip” Gift Card is easy. Order directly through the PTA or online at www.shopwithscrip.com. Be sure to go online for up-to-date promotions and a complete list of participating retailers. Orders received and paid (either online or with the attached form) by 9 am on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month will be available for pick up on the following Friday (2nd and 4th) in the Muddy Brook lobby upon dismissal or in your child’s backpack. Changes in ordering schedule and specials in % will be announced in the PTA newsletter.

eCards and eGifts with ScripNow!

ScripNow! is the quickest way to purchase a Gift Card for you or a friend. Once enrolled with PrestoPay, your ScripNow! eCard can be delivered and used in minutes. PrestoPay requires a 2-3 day lead time to verify your bank account. You may also order ScripNow! through the PTA and pay with a check, credit card or PayPal and it will available when your payment is received and processed. Reload

Gift Cards purchased through the Scrip program and on the “Reload Brands” list can have additional funds added to the available balance. When paying with PrestoPay, the transaction will process immediately and the funds will be available overnight. You may also Reload funds through the PTA and pay with a check, credit card or PayPal and the additional funds will be available within 24-48 hours from when our school’s order is processed and released.
