June 12th – General PTA Meeting – Treasurer’s Report

Highlights:

-Afterschool Program for Spring #2 is complete for Project Connection.  The $4380 disbursement is due to expenses for teachers and supplies - to be reimbursed with the 21st Century Grant.  A donation of $200 was received toward Project Connection from NBT Bank.

-Mud Day totals: Admission/Raffle Tickets/Activities netted $2825, Food netted $557, Merchandise netted $1045.  Over 800 attended.

-Berkshire Theater Group was paid $2500 for the program they put on with the 4th grade students.

-A subsidy of $900 was awarded by the Mahaiwe Theater to offset the bussing costs for field trips made by the K,1st,2nd and 3rd grade students.

-4th grade students took a field trip to the Connecticut Science Museum in Hartford.  The PTA is funding this trip and $1475 has been paid so far for admission, with an additional$625 to be paid toward Massini Bus costs.

-Teacher stipends are currently at $5181 in payouts.  Only 5 of the 48 eligible teachers have not taken all or part of their stipend.

-Additional spending (approved at 6/12/13 meeting) – $3000 Engineering is Elementary kits for all grades, $2000 iPad support and professional development, $500 subscriptions for publications for Intervention students, $500 for childcare for teachers to attend Writer’s Workshop curriculum professional development this summer, $215.45 for book fairy.  These additions will leave the PTA checking/saving accounts with approx. $5000 for carryover to next year.

-Currently there are 109 PTA members.

-Balance available in all accounts is $7795.13. ($4380 is due from BHRSD/Project Connection)

May 8th – General PTA Meeting – Treasurer’s Report

Highlights:

The greyed areas are the events completed for the year.

-Afterschool Program for Spring #1 is complete for Project Connection.  A net total of $2500 was paid out in support of the program (in lieu of Technology Development).  The additional monies in/out were due to expenses for teachers and supplies – subsequently reimbursed with the 21st Century Grant.

-Mud Day merchandise has been purchased to sell during pre-sale and at Mud Day on May 18.

-The auction proceeds from AX and Discover transactions was received for $2700.  A small balance remains from uncollectable credit card transactions.  These will be paid to the PTA by check.

-Rewards – a check from Box Tops was received for $884.

-Mass Audubon was paid $3375 for the program given to the (5) 2nd grade classes.

-Currently there are 109 PTA members.

-Balance available in all accounts is $11042.64.

April 10th – General PTA Meeting – Treasurer’s Report

Highlights:

The greyed areas on the report are already completed events for the year.

-Mud Day has had 2 payments of $50 towards the non-profit vendors that will attend.  Expenses of $80 for tarps.

-Spring Family Dance income of $1840 from ticket sales and expenses of $1307 for DJ/decorations.  The photographer income was $1246 and expenses of $845.  Total net from the dance was $934.  Ticket prices were $2 lower across the board this year.

-Still waiting for balance of $2700 of auction income.

-Teacher Stipends are currently being paid out to teachers and specialists.  Total payout so far is $2272 of the $5100 allotted.

-We have 106 paid members of the PTA.

-Total balance available in all accounts: $16,929.15.

April 3rd -Special PTA Meeting – Treasurer’s Report

Highlights:

-Afterschool Program Project Connection has asked for $2500 to be put toward their funding of the program.  The technology budget will be put toward this.  The remaining ($2888 less $2500) will be reimbursed by the district.  This expense was for supplies for the teachers.

-Read-A-Thon had income of $3202 and expenses of $150 for gift certificates of $30 to Bookloft for the classroom in each grade level with the most pages read.

-Spring Family Dance has expenses of $903 so far for DJ deposit and some decorations.  $845 has been paid to the photographer. Dance is April 5th.

-Still waiting for balance of $2700 of auction income.

-Teacher Stipends are currently being paid out to teachers and specialists.  Total payout so far is $2272 of the $5100 allotted.

-We have 106 paid members of the PTA.

February 13th -General PTA Meeting – Treasurer’s Report

Highlights:

-The Family Game Night expenses totaled $126 for bingo prizes and snacks.

-Spring Family Dance has expenses of $520 so far for DJ deposit and some decorations.

-Online Auction grossed approx. $12,000. Deposits of $10,278 and expenses of $2734 have been received so far.  Have had difficulty with the credit card processing.

-A Field Trip has been paid to the Mahaiwe Theater for grades K-3. Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd will see Dinosaur Petting Zoo on April 10th.  3rd grade will see Cirque Shanghai on April 26th.

-Teacher Stipends are currently being paid out to teachers and specialists.  Total payout so far is $969.

-We have 106 paid members of the PTA.

-Total balance available in all accounts: $16,839.87.

-Spring Family Dance has expenses of $528 so far for DJ deposit and some decorations.  $423 deposit has been paid to the photographer. Dance is April 5th.

-Teacher Stipends are currently being paid out to teachers and specialists.  Total payout so far is $1181.

-Teacher Appreciation expenses are currently $57 for fruit baskets in the teachers’ lounge.  A budget of $500 will be spent this year.

January 9th -General PTA Meeting – Treasurer’s Report

Highlights:

-The 1st Family Game Night expense of $32 for bingo prizes was paid out.

-Holiday Craft Workshop had income of $655 (147 students participated) and expenses of $560.

-The DJ for the Spring Family Dance has been paid a deposit of $175.

-Winter Wonderland had income of $1586 and expenses of $412.

-Online Auction grossed approx. $12,000. Deposits of $10,098 and expenses of $1987 have been received so far.

November 14th  -General PTA Meeting – Treasurer’s Report

Highlights:

-Fall afterschool program teachers have been paid.  A net profit of $315 was made.  Scholarships for 8 students were given.

-Teacher wishes ($15 each) were granted for all teacher’s that attended the Special PTA Meeting on October 24, 2012.  This money will help offset classroom material costs.  A total of $240 was paid out.  This addition to the budget was approved 11/14/12.

-Grant money was paid out for Donna Astion for $116 for grade-level books for the enrichment program.

-Directory advertisers brought in $250 to cover the cost of printing ($250).

-Total available in all accounts: $10,101.02.

October 24th  -Special After School PTA Meeting - Treasurer’s Report

Highlights:

-Fall afterschool program signups for 97 students including 7 scholarships.  Final numbers yet to come in.

-Berkshire Coupon Book sales of 438 books at $10 profit.

-Membership dues taken in for 102 members.

-Total available in all accounts: $13,054.96.

October 10th General PTA Meeting Treasurer’s Report Highlights:

-Fall afterschool program signups for 91 students including 5 scholarships.  Final numbers yet to come in.

-Berkshire Coupon Book by SaveAround netted $4,350.00 to date ($1,350.00 more than anticipated).

-Direct Donations have exceeded budget and are now at $812.00.

-Spirit Wear sales for the first cycle have netted $601.00.

- A grant request for the 4th grade Mexican mask project has been paid out for $188.00.

- We have transferred $10,000 in funds to a savings account and a CD.  With these, we expect to earn at least $25.00 per month in interest.
