Mud Day was AMAZING!!
This past Saturday, the Muddy Brook PTA hosted it’s 8th annual Mud Day!!
Children played with toy cars powered by the sun, planted trees and plants, made seed paper, constructed musical instruments from recycled material, created a beautiful sculpture from recycled material, put together zine notebooks, made seed balls, learned about bird conservation, designed a papier-mâché coyote, ate delicious ice cream and salty popcorn, AND got MUDDY!!!! Some children were covered from head to toe with mud! It was a beautiful day with lots of laughter. Mud Day was created in the 2009-10 school year by a passionate group of parents called the GreenPEAS (Parents for Environmental Awareness in Schools). This year’s committee worked hard tohonor the vision and goals that these families created when Mud Day began.
Lots of Thank You’s are in order!
